QuestionDo dams affect this resource?

Role
ImportanceDams are production resources in irrigation systems. Dams storage the water flow to produce hydropower energy or for water supply. The presence of dams in the system may cause positive and negative effects on systems. Dams can provide water supply, energy, recreation, and flood control, but, at the same time, dams affect downstream hydrology and block the migration of species.
DefinitionThis variable assesses if dams (reservoirs) are present in the system under study.
