SummaryDecisions regarding use of resources within the GMR are made by representatives of local stakeholders on the Participatory Management Board (PMB). Decisions made (by consensus) by the PMB are reviewed, and usually ratified, by the Interinstitutional Management Authority (IMA), the executive decision making body of the GMR and responsible for creating legally binding resolutions. If consensus is not reached by the PMB, the IMA can decide by majority vote.
